Sustainability
Children are instinctively curious of our world from the moment they are born. You may have noticed your baby stopping and observing when the wind touches his face, when they see the rain and the leaves of the trees swaying or the stars in the clear sky. The infant can get excited about insects, the sea, the little stones and the moon.
Like you, we want to maintain this beauty around us and pass it on to our children. That is why we take seriously our responsibility to take care of our environment and we want to be sure that we do everything in our power for this. Our goal is to reduce as much as possible our ecological footprint on the planet by embracing it in a polite way.
Thus, all our toys are ecological, from certified natural wood, organic cotton, mats and other natural materials. The paints are completely natural with water paint, which makes the toys safe for exploration with all the senses of children! Clay and plasticine are also environmentally friendly and completely safe for children. The plastics we use, such as the plasticine modeling tools and the bags in which we send you your packages, are all biodegradable and the packaging papers are recyclable.
When we started to create the idea of "Ludus & you" our primary goal was for the toys to have a long life, to accompany the child in many developmental stages and to be able to enrich them with other pieces from our collection. So we advocate a more minimalist and ecological way of life, as we believe that the era of rooms full of plastic toys is long gone. We embrace the perfect imperfect everyday life with children with simplicity, friendly materials and aesthetics. Our toys and decorations can be passed on from the older children of the family to the younger ones or you can donate them when you no longer need them, as our toys are made to survive in the hands of newborns, lively infants and older children and to pass on to future generations full of memories, happy moments and many hours of laughter.
After all, according to the Montessori principles that govern our philosophy, children do not want us to overwhelm them with stimuli, but they want to have at their disposal one or two things that they can play with. They want a simple, elegant and tempting place to explore.
